Google makes it easy to implement Google Tag through integrations with Google ads, Google Analytics and popular CMS platforms.

Integration Google Tag Managerwith Google Ads and Google Analytics allows you to manage your online marketing activities more effectively, to better understand how visitors use your site and to make informed decisions about how to improve the user experience and increase the efficiency of your site.

However, it is not so easy to set up tags and manage them without technical knowledge.

Google makes it easy to implement Google Tag

In August of last year, Google introduced the reusable tag, which helps advertisers set up and manage tags across the site. Google is introducing additional capabilities that simplify the setup and implementation process and provide greater insight into site coverage related to measurement.

Tag coverage summary

To improve measurement accuracy, tags should be used on all pages of the website. Now you can quickly determine if your Google tag has been applied to all pages of your website using tag coverage summary. You can access this option from the Google tag in section Google ads and Google analytics, as well as through Google Tag Manager.

The tag coverage summary will also suggest pages that may not be properly tagged to ensure that they are also included in tracking and measurement.

In a blog post, Google provides an example of how to use the tag coverage summary:

"You'll see where your tags have been applied on suggested pages, which can be added to your summary to later understand tag coverage on these pages." And, if the suggestions don't cover all the pages of your website, easily add URLs by entering them manually or uploading them via CSV file. You can also click the Tag Assistant icon next to each page to test whether your tags have been applied correctly."

Integration with Google ads and analytics

To make Google Tag even easier to use, businesses and advertisers will soon be able to find Google Tag capabilities directly integrated into Google Ads and Google Analytics.

This integration removes the need to add additional code to your website.

For businesses using popular content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, you'll now be able to install this Google tag across your entire website without manual site code changes.

You can reuse an existing gtag.js implementation or create a new Google tag to deploy without changing the website code. You can do this directly in your CMS in your ad and analytics account settings. CMS instructions are displayed on the installation screen for platforms that are integrated with the Google tag.
