Google Display ads, also known as ads on website pages, or banner ads, are the type of ads we most often encounter when surfing the Internet. These include various types of ads such as photo, gif, html ads that we see the most on Internet portals, but also other sites.

Advertising on Display is important because people spend more and more of their time there, which makes it an ideal channel to reach a potential target group.

But what is the real value of advertising on display?

Google Display Ads and Campaign Creation

Google Display Adscampaigns are created through Google Ads platform.

There are 4 types of campaigns: Google Search, Google Display, Shopping and Video campaign. In this case, we choose the second option, Google Display, and we continue to follow the campaign creation process.

Google Display Remarketing Campaigns

In addition to the standard options, Google Ads offers the possibility remarketing campaign. Remarketing campaigns are used to show ads to users who have already visited your website, or done some additional action on the site such as downloading a brochure, filling a shopping cart, etc.

The first and most important thing in the whole process is creation Audience u Google Analytics platforms we want to "retargeting".

In the Admin panel, select the option Audience Definitions and in the drop-down menu Audience. On the new page, we add a new one Audience by clicking on the '' buttonNew Audience''. Google offers several options, and for the purposes of this blog we will stick to the option to add users who have visited a particular page of the site.

Google Display Ads

Google Display ads offer several types of different ad formats that can be displayed on Google Display network, namely:

  • Responsive Display Ads, Fully automated ad creation. All you have to do is enter your ad text, images, and logo, and Google will optimize the ads itself
  • Ads uploaded, ads by yourself upload- We need more control. They can be of different sizes and formats:

 

    • Image ads (GIF, JPG, or PNG format)
    • HTML5 or AMP HTML as a zip file

We design image ads in programs like Microsoft Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator etc., while we create HTML5 ads in Google Web Designer program. 

Some of the benefits Google Display Ads are a remarketing option, they look much more professional than standard Google Search campaign, with a design that is more appealing and interesting to the audience.
